Reporting settings

In Sage Accounts there are a number of useful reporting settings that you can define to meet your business preferences. For example, you can choose whether or not your reports show an end of report message, or whether layouts such as invoices or statements show your company name and address.

To define your reporting settings

  1. Settings > Company Preferences > Reporting.
  2. Complete the Reporting tab as follows:

    Print End of Report Banner

To indicate that a report is complete, you can print an End of Report message at the end. If a report is canceled before completion, the message indicates that the report was terminated.

    • To print the message on all reports, select this check box.
    • To show no message on reports, clear this check box.

    Print Address on Stationery

You can use this option to choose whether your company address prints on layouts.

    • To automatically print your company address on layouts, select this check box.
    • To stop your company address printing, for example, if it is pre-printed on your stationery, clear this check box.

    Cheque lines per page

(Accounts Plus and Accounts Professional only)

When printing cheques with remittances, Sage Accounts uses this setting to generate the correct cheque number when your cheque remittance runs over more than one page.

    • Enter the number of lines that appear on your remittance layout here.

Tip: If you have 12" cheque layouts, set this to 15 cheque lines per page. If you are using A4 cheque layouts, set this to 11 cheque lines per page. When you first print a cheque remittance that runs over more than one page, if your remittance shows a different number of items per page you can adjust this setting further.

    Use Data Path for Reports

    Network users only

If you use a client computer on a network version of Sage Accounts, you can choose whether you access reports on the server, or on the client computer. Read more

    • To access reports on the server, select this check box. Any changes you make to a report are made to the central copy of the report held on the server.
    • To access reports on the client computer, select this check box.

  3. To confirm your settings, click OK.
